Petal Pushers: Make your plans now to join in decorating floats for the 121st Tournament of Roses Parade. We have been scheduled for a prime work shift on Wednesday, December 30 (space is limited). Our shift is 8:00AM-3:30 PM. Petal Pushers is a group of 4,000 volunteers coordinated by Lutheran Hour Ministries who decorate five floats for the Rose Parade. Lutheran Hour Ministries has been proclaiming the Gospel of Jesus Christ in the Pasadena Rose Parade for the past 60 years. The Lutheran Hour Float stands as the only Christian float participating in the world's most famous media event; an event that will be seen by more than 450 million people around the world. Habitat for Humanity: Thrivent Financial for Lutherans has partnered with Habitat for Humanity for a build project in Downey. Bethany will be sponsoring a work day sometime after the New Year but you can contact our Thrivent reps, Ben Koehlinger & Geoff Delahanty to find out about open spaces during the week.
Prayer Walk & Christmas Invitation: Help us invite our neighbors to church this Christmas. We’ll need lots of help on Saturday, Dec. 5th to deliver door hangers to our neighbors inviting them to our annual Christmas concerts and to join us in worship. We’ll meet at 9:00AM and hope to be done by noon. Call the church office to sign-up.
